It’s crazy how the world is getting fat and losing control over their diet! Obesity is the new disease we’re up against in this era! The worst part about is that the junk food, is cheaper than the healthy food! What to do?! How do we stay healthy and fit?! How do we control our temptations? Well, here are a few tips and tricks which can help you reduce weight and have a little control over your eating habits.
Your diet plays a major role in a healthy lifestyle. 40% is the workout and 60% is the proper diet. Now by diet, I mean proper food at a proper time. Eat your Breakfast like a King, Lunch like a Princess and Dinner like a Beggar. Start off your day with a good breakfast. The 1st meal of the day gives you the energy to work all day and gets digested sooner than any other meal. Second comes the lunch. The lunch shall be had a little lesser than the breakfast. According to the Indian standards, the perfect Lunch amount is two rotis and more of vegetables and curd. The greener the plate, the healthier the meal. Then comes the dinner. The dinner shall be had before 7pm and not beyond that because if the dinner is had later at night and you tend to eat too much, it will take it’s own sweet time to digest eventually giving you a troublesome night. The dinner shall be only nibbled, not devoured.
The second but equally important part of a healthy lifestyle is the workout routine. Remember as a kid how much you enjoyed playing outside? Now of course, it’s next to impossible for the adults to have any time, so what does this leave us with? Hit the GYM! Besides being fit, exercise also helps you various things. For e.g., It boosts your confidence, you have a better posture making your personality appear more appealing and charming, it gives you energy, improves your memory, helps you get rid of all the stress and the list goes on and on. Most of all, it helps in staying positive. It is a scientifically known fact that when you workout, you are happy and stay positive rest of the day.
BE DETERMINED AND FOCUSSED
Seeing your friends and family hog down a whole pizza can be very tempting! You’d often lose your focus! But you shall stay dedicated and determined. You must know how to keep your mouth shut. You surely can have a snack time or even a cheat-day, but you must work equally hard to get rid of the extra fat. You need to keep yourself motivated. Because at the end of the day, you’re going to be so proud of yourself for not devouring a whole 15 inch pizza down your throat.
DON’T STARVE YOURSELF
If you think that not eating anything would eventually help you in losing weight, you’re wrong. It’ll keep you inactive, stressed and depressed most of the day. Starving can never make help you reduce. The reason is very simple. When you don’t eat food, your stomach notices that there is lack of diet. So whenever you have something, the stomach stores the fat thinking “Don’t know when I’ll be getting the next meal, might as well store it.” This eventually bloats up the tummy and also gives a lot of gastric problems.
An increase in the amount of water you intake on a day to day basis is very important. Water is basically an appetite suppressant. If you drink a glass of water before a meal, it’ll make you feel fuller and help reduce the food intake. Water also helps in cleansing the body. The more water you drink, the fresher you feel. Ideally, the water should be of the normal body temperature during the intake, it is the most effective then. It also helps in a better digestion and clears the skin giving a flawless complexion.
