Being able to live in a country like this is a bliss in itself and if you are somebody who has been bitten by the travel bug, here are a few places which you must visit :

Goa – So much has already been said about Goa that now nothing really could add anymore to its description. Famous for its holiday culture, Goa is soon to become the Las Vegas of India. The best time to visit Goa is December and if you are lucky, you might get passes for the best Sunburn in the country. Goa is beautiful during the rains too, but people may not be a huge fan of monsoons. North Goa is the hub of tourists while South Goa is more on the peaceful side, choose your pick and rush to Goa.

Leh Ladakh – Because the love for mountains keeps pulling all of us out of our city lives every once in a while, Leh Ladakh is something that would make you attain nirvana. Leh Ladakh is usually at number one on the list of travelers and it is as surreal and beautiful as a place can get. It satisfies one’s hunger for adventure and exploration along side. Bike rides and road travels are the best way to make your trip even more enjoyable.

Gokarna – Located in Karnataka, Gokarna is still one of the lesser known beach holiday places in India. Discovered by the tourists about a decade ago, this place still has its rustic nature intact. It is a contrast in balance, it is a temple town and a holiday destination and is also believed to be the marijuana heaven of India. You will find traditional houses, flea markets, and beaches which are still lesser crowded than those in Goa. So, a perfect place to lose yourself to, Gokarna will provide everything that you wish for.

Pondicherry – Owing to its historical background, the French touch and the conserved nature, Pondicherry is up there in the list of places you need to visit at least once. It is a beautiful little union territory which still has the French touch left in most of its areas. Very close to Tamil Nadu, it is a perfect place for you to go to if you want a break and peace. The beaches and the food are to die for.

Andaman – Known for its world-class diving, Andaman is one place which will win you over with its white sand beaches, forests which flank the Arabian sea, and blue waters. The Andaman archipelago consists of various islands out of which only a dozen are open for tourists, the Nicobars and the tribal areas are strictly off limits. Andaman is a place where you could get a perfect holiday with the right tinge of natural beauty and adventure in it.

Rajasthan and Kerala – The two most beautiful states of the country, Rajasthan and Kerala attract their share of tourists throughout the year. The architecture of Rajasthan and the natural beauty of Kerala has helped the two states in making their own place in the minds of tourists and also, the desert and the backwaters are a welcome change from the clichéd holiday in the hills and the vacation on the beaches.

Kashmir – Kashmir, the paradise on earth is still topping the charts with its serenity and calmness. Many tourists visit Kashmir every year in search of peace and their soul. A person can easily introspect while boating in the Dal lake or trekking in the mountain ranges.
