Here’s 5 reasons to whoop about these terrific twenties and make it a decade to remember:

You learn to love yourself

This is one of the most important life lessons that you learn. Often, in the pursuit of romance and loving others, you may end up forfeiting our self-respect. Sometimes, you may even end up hating yourself over no fault of yours, simply because you failed in a romantic pursuit, were betrayed, or had a bad breakup.

No matter, think of them as opportunities to start loving the most important person around – yourself. After all, if you don’t value yourself, how will others do so? Never compromise on self-respect, develop a healthy attitude towards yourself and your body, and see the changes that occur.

You begin embracing your mistakes and learn from them

No human is infallible. Men and women, all of us make mistakes. They shouldn’t be regretted. Instead, you should learn from them. Embrace those deficiencies, those flaws, and make sure you do not repeat them again. No one attained success on their first attempt. Every failure is a stepping stone towards success. So, own your mistakes, work on them, learn from them, and turn them into your strengths.

You build balance

You start developing a healthy balance between your professional life, your personal life, and your alone time. Make sure you don’t compromise on any of them. A healthy balance is absolutely essential. If you become a workaholic at the expense of your family, it will only cause regrets later. Remember, the love of family, of your partner, of your parents, is eternal. Often, it is forgotten, as it is easily given, just to earn a few extra bucks. Don’t make that mistake. Strike a healthy balance between work, socializing and spending time with your near and dear ones.

You Travel

You are in the best health of your life. Don’t waste it by spending time in front of the TV, or by spending on frivolous items. Instead, go for new experiences. Travel the world, explore different cultures, and live.

You build lasting relationships

The twenties are where you find out who are your real friends. You see who makes an effort to stay in touch with you, and you make efforts to stay in touch with them as well. Sometimes, people just drift away. But as adversary affects you, you will find out who your closest, best and truest friends are, who your tribe is, as they come to your aid in any manner that they can. (And of course, you should do the same).

These are the things lasting relationships are made of.
