Toyota Fortuner

Toyota Fortuner

The all-new Fortuner was just launched in India a month back. The SUV has been selling like hot cakes in the market. Toyota is working on a hybrid model for the Fortuner and by next year, the hybrid Fortuner should make it to the market. Currently, the Foturner is powered by a 2.7-litre petrol engine and 2.8-litre diesel engine just like the Innova. The SUV also gets manual and automatic transmission with both the engine options.

Hyundai Verna

The all-new Verna will soon arrive in the Indian market. The new vehicle has already made a global debut in China and will reach Indian shores somewhere next year. The Verna has been losing a lot of sales to the City and the Ciaz in India after gaining the initial momentum, which it could not sustain for a long time. Ciaz is the only car in the segment with mild hybrid technology right now but soon, Hyundai will also launch the Verna with same technology.

Toyota Innova

Toyota is working on mild hybrid versions of the Innova and the Foturner, as both of them are based on the same platform. The revelation was made by managing director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Akito Tachibana. The best selling MUV in the country will soon get a mild hybrid system under the hood that will also make it cheaper. We will first see the system with the 2.8-litre diesel after which the 2.7-litre petrol engine may also receive the same system.
