Self reflection – Delve deep into yourself and find your true areas of interest. What part of the job makes you happy? What are the areas that you need to work upon? But, the way you look at things might bring about a lot of change in how you feel.

FeedbackConstructive feedbacks can do wonders for you. You do not need to pay attention to everyone and anyone who has an opinion. But, you can choose to listen to a handful of people that you trust. If someone tells you that you are good at something, maybe you do have a flair for it. Stay open to ideas and suggestions. Feedback, good or bad, can help in making self discoveries.

Trust your instincts – Sometimes gut feeling is the right feeling. Trust your mind to show you the right path. If your career choice has never made you happy; it is time to make a change. Do not be afraid to find a more suitable role for you. That does not mean you flee in the face of any challenge that comes your way. But, you should know for sure if it is the challenge that is the problem or is it something that you can never like.

Identify your talents – Are you an extrovert and like dynamic roles or do you prefer a job that lets you work in peace and quiet. The mandate for every role that you could take would be different. You do not have to like a certain thing just because it is “cool”. You could like a quiet desk job and be amazing at it or you could do something out of the box and be the best at that. It is about finding where your talent lies.

Self discovery can do wonders to your life. By identifying what you are best at and doing that in your career you have a higher chance of making it big. Whether you are extremely ambitious or moderate ambitious, your career happiness does make a big difference in the way you feel.
