You Should Travel Solo At Least Once In Your Life

We have already spoken a lot about how travelling is that one absolute thing which has kept most of us going in this crazy world. But ever thought how good can travelling solo be? I am sure most of you have already tried it and for the rest of you, this is my attempt at selling you the idea of travelling solo.

Travelling solo is way more than just an experience. As clichéd as it may sound, it does give you time to introspect, figure out what kind of a person you are and decide your future plans and the best part about travelling alone is that your plan will not get delayed of change at the last minute due to somebody else.

Solace in solitude – You are absolutely awesome and you will love this time that you spend in your own company. You will find out various things about yourself. You will be out of your home and in an unknown place, there will be changes that only you could notice and you won’t have to feel uncomfortable about them.

Be the decision maker – Be your own boss and go do whatever the hell you want to. I am sure you like the sound of that! Like I said earlier, there won’t be people who may be having some issues or problems or are just late risers, you can plan the entire trip according to your convenience and prioritize visits according to your likes and dislikes.

Find yourself in unknown places and situations–Use this time as an investment and explore different facets of your personality. Mingle with different people, try new food, go stay out till late. Sing, dance and become a total different person. Believe me, you may never get such a chance again.

Feel empowered – a pat on the back for making it to the trip and getting ready for many more such adventures that you will do on your own. It is not easy to do such big things alone, you are making yourself lesser dependent on other people and you are free as a bird.

Master of your fate, captain of your soul – This will be the closest you will ever come to your heart and soul. Relish this priceless moment. Do exactly what makes you feel peaceful, forget everything about where you came from and where you have to go back. Become impulsive and do things that you will remember for the rest of your life.

Break the walls within – You will learn the best lessons of your life and come out of the cocoon you have been living in. Not every place you go to will be full of people that you know, here you get the opportunity to meet new people and learn their stories or make your story with them. It is not going to be easy, but it will definitely be worth it.

Return of a different person – You will be a more active, confident and energetic once you come back from the trip. It will be a boost for your self-esteem. You will be the subject of envy and appreciation of a lot of people, but just hold your ground solid and plan for the next trip.

New found love for travelling solo – It is addictive in every sense of the word and who wouldn’t want to be in their own awesome company again? And, if you have done it once, you can definitely do it again. This time with better planning and preparation. Soon it will absorb you and you will be unable to live without traveling alone every once in a while.

Established, that people who depend on travelling for replenishment should definitely try this at least once, because, hello, it is better to try it out and then say no than to not try it at all. And I assure you, it will take you by surprise when you realize just how much fun you had with yourself.
