Youth ko Awaaz Uthani chahiye and push the government to act against those who seek to tarnish the fair name of the Indian Army

There is no bigger sacrifice in the world than to sacrifice a son, a brother, a husband, and a father to protect one’s motherland! This is why every man or woman, who joins the armed forces (whether the Army, the Navy, or the Air Force) deserves nothing but respect and honour from all countrymen. Of course, the Army men deserve even more of our respect, since they are the ones who meet the enemy directly in the battle-field for a face-to-face combat, which also means they lose their lives more often than any other security personnel in the world. Ergo, they are, therefore, held in the highest esteem the world over. Unfortunately, off late…it seems that it is no longer the case in India.

Youth must Raise voices and push the government to act against those who seek to tarnish the fair name of the Indian Army.

Ever since BJP came to power, the pseudo-intellectuals of the country have been busy slinging muck at these very army-men, alleging them to be doing Modi’s bidding. What they are forgetting in the process is sheer common sense! After all, is India a dictatorship or a democracy?!? For only in a dictatorship, can a country’s army work on the diktats of one man…(whoever that might be). And since we are a democracy, the armed forces — just as in any other democratic country — is managed by the Central Government, or the Ministry of Defence (Government of India) to be precise.

Youth must Raise voices and push the government to act against those who seek to tarnish the fair name of the Indian Army.

Which is why it is surprising to see so many people (in fact, “politicians” to be precise…especially the ones who are not in power in the Central government). But can we, as a nation, allow our paltry politicians to drag our illustrious army through muck in the name of their petty politics?!? The answer to that question has to be a vehement ‘NO’! And it has to be the nation’s youth that needs to respond with a resounding roar! After all, while these politicians and so-called pseudo-intellectuals hate even spilling their sweat (it is easy to critique from air-conditioned chambers), it is our armed forces that spills their blood.

Of course, while these individuals may not care about the morale of our army men defending this great big nation, I am sure the idealistic and patriotic youth of this country do! Hence, it has to be the youth of this country that needs to come together to champion their cause. After all, as a young nation…we need much from our young population.

Hence, the next time someone takes a dig at an army-man, make a noise! After all, the man who spends months away from his family, only to serve a nation and its people…deserves our utmost respect. And anyone who hurts the morale of that man deserves nothing but our contempt. And hopefully, when enough of us make enough noise, the government and the political parties too would be forced to take a stand and punish them. After all, if he can give his life to defend us…we can certainly give our time to defend him! Now that’s some food for thought!
