Ravi Gulati had everything one could think of but he was not satisfied, Ravi wanted to do something better for India. An IIM, Ahmedabad graduate, a tag for which one would lock himself up for over year in a room. A high Profile corporate job in Canada with money written all over it but he didn't feel quite right about it. So he left his job, came back to India and took to teaching children of drivers, barbers and maid who cannot afford their education.
13, Khan Market, New Delhi is his unusual classroom, where every student is a teacher and every teacher a student. He wanted to work in a village, but stayed on in the city because two poor children needed tuitions from him. While he taught them he realised what he was doing was equally important as what he would have done in rural India.
"I have not made any sacrifice, I am not doing anyone a favor. I am doing what I want to do, what I like to do." feels Ravi which sums it up.
I think he demands nothing from us but some respect and a little bit recognition.
