Motherhood is special for every woman on this earth. Carrying a baby for nine months is not a cheesy job, one has to be very patience and determined to give the birth to a baby. Those nine months of pregnancy when the baby is in the womb of the mother are very much crucial but yet very special for her because this is a time when a mother cultivates a wonderful bond with her child, this is the time when she begins to see so many dreams about her mother-hood and her baby. Day and night she thinks for the well being of the baby, she takes care of herself so that her baby stays well under the womb. During this time she is creating a memorable time with her baby but when this chain is brutally dissected by some inhumane human beings who are see that tiny being as a useless piece of flesh. This inhumane act of dissecting that tiny life is known as Abortion. In India act of abortion is very common that is usually done especially when the mother is expected to conceive and girl fetus. Illiterate and now even literate people of India highly prefer to have a son or a baby boy and to confirm over this they also get involved into illegal acts of gender determination. There are numerous of families who force the mothers to go through the act of abortion. But from a mother’s point of view it very tough for her to get involved in the willing murder of that tiny life who is breathing in her womb. It is not just the excretion of a piece of flesh for the mother but its like slicing her heart into numerous of pieces. The mothers who are forced to go through abortion get shattered from inside, they become the victim of the rotten dogmas of the society that feels proud in giving birth to a boy and feels to be stigmatized in giving birth to a girl. These orthodox dogmas deliberately needed to be abolished otherwise this on going chain of henious act of abortion would continue not only to kill those live fetus but to murder the dreams and aspirations of innocent mothers too.

The stigma of a single mother underlines the causes of the act of abortion along with the orthodox dogmas established against the girl child. Men often tend to escape from responsibilities and after exercising their power over women inside the four grey walls, they refuse to take up responsibilities. for a common Indian woman it is next to impossible to raise a child all by herself.it is not solely lack of financial independence but the patriarchal society that chides the single mother blames here rebukes her and thus forcing her indirectly to abort for fear of social seclusion and the future of the child, if born, doomed.
