The state of Tripura is one of the 8 sisters of North-Eastern states of India and Agartala is the capital of the state. Like any other North-Eastern states, the State of Tripura is also blessed with the beauty of the nature and is situated in the foothills of the Great Himalayas. The capital state of Tripura is affluent in culture, heritage and flora and fauna. The city of Agartala is influenced by the rich Bengali culture, although the city houses the regional tribes. The city has a rich heritage and this is evident from the presence of palaces and forts. Some of the major attractions of this place include Ujjayanta Palace, Neermahal, State Museum and Kunjaban Palace. The place also houses religious places like Jagannath Temple, Umamaheswar Temple, Durga Bari Temple, Lakshmi Narayan Bari Temple, Satsanga Kendra and Benuban Vihar along with Gedu Miar Masjid and Mariyam Nagar Church are just to name a few.
