Allahabad is a famous pilgrimage destinations of India situated in the state of Uttra Pradesh as the city hosts the Maha Kumbh Mela. The city gained its popularity as it is the meeting point of the three holy rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati and this meeting point is known as "Tribeni Sangam". The city is situated an island peninsula and there are many mythological tales related to the city of Allahabad, making it a popular tourist destinations of India. The place houses several temples which attracts the devotees from all over and these include Hanuman, Shiva and Vishnu Temple, Bade Hanumanji Mandir, Lalita Devi temple, Kalyani Devi temple, Nagvasuki temple, Benimadhav temple, Shivkoti Mahadev temple, Alepidevi temple and Mankameshwar temple.The city also has some of the popular educational institutions of India. Apart from the temples, the other places that attracts the tourists are Allahabad Fort, Allahabad Museum, Allahabad University and Anand Bhawan. Khusro Bagh, Alfred Park, All Saints Cathedral, Patalpuri temple and Akshaya Vat.
