Alwar is a popular tourist destination of Rajasthan. It is a small town in the Alwar district and was the capital of the state during the British reign. The place has a lot of historical importance as it was the capital town of the region and has many forts built by the Rajputs. The town is inhabited by Yaduvanshi Ahirs and is belived to be exile destination of the Panvdavas. The place was also known as Mewar and is enclosed by several lakes and valleys which makes it a coveted tourist destination.
