Anjuna Beach: North Goa

Anjuna beach is situated about 18kms from the capital city Panaji in Bardez Taluka, this beach is a part of 30km extended coastline also with the west coast of Goa by the Arabian Sea. This beach is one of the favourite most places for the hippies who used to organize the rave beach parties. Anjuna beach happens to be an ideal place for full-moon parties organized especially during Christmas and New Year. It is indeed an attractive feature for the tourists and the visitors, the pleasant weather and the sparkling full-moon just take the hearts away. At the north side of Anjuna beach there is a famous market set up on every Wednesdays where small cafes, bars and Kashmiri handicraft products are set up for selling purposes on feasible prices. Sunbathing is quite enjoyed by the tourists who laze around bathing in the pleasant sun. Bungee jumping and parasailing are the most enjoyed water activities at Anjuna the best time to visit this beach is early November till March. The beach is found to be highly crowded during the Christmas and New Year time because a huge number of tourists arrive to Goa to enjoy the vibrant and happening night parties. There are a number of guesthouses and resorts and even luxurious hotels available near and around Anjuna village. There are lots of good eating and drinking hubs at Anjuna some are simple semi open aired, palm leafed huts where a variety of yummy sea foods are available. The German bakery, Sea breeze cafe, White Negro is some of them.

Anjuna beach is situated 21 km north of Panaji and 7 km from Baga. This beach is a very popular beaches of North Goa. There are a lot of resorts also around the beach making it popular accomodation area also and especially foreign tourists can be found to be staying here for months. There is a, imposing flea market around with lots of items to choose from starting from jewelleries to swim suits and water sports equipments. Curlies and other good eating joints, peaceful seashore, western seafood with chilled beer and good music in nearby restaurants and flea markets.
