Borong is the perfect destination for bird lovers and is situated in the South Sikkim at an altitude of 5,800 feet. The place is known for its captivating landscape and the view of the Kanchenjunga adds more beauty to it. Borong is known for a hot water spring named as Borong Tsa Chu. The place also offers a view of Sinolchu, Narsingh and Pandim ranges of the Great Himalayas. Being an idesl destination for bird watching, it is an adobe of rare avian species which include scarlet minivet, black magpie and Himalayan pheasants. It is also one of the popular destinations for trekking.
