The polls for 2014 elections are not far off and congress has got one person on whom they rely to turn the whole gameplay, that is Rahul Gandhi. But despite his efforts in the past, there has been hardly any drastic change which he could bring to the congress party. However the question of interest here is, after being given a higher position in the party, can he save congress or would he be a dismal failure? What are your views?

Looking at his past records he cannot change or save the position of Congress. He does not have any kind of leadership quality and just being born in a family of renowned family does not mean that he can be a leader too. He will just be a puppet and nothing more than that and if he becomes the next PM, i think that the condition of our nation will be worst than what it is now. What do you think?

I completely agree with you that Rahul Gandhi will not be able to save congress. People have come to know about his capabilities in these five years and his image is no longer going to create any kind of magic for the party. However, I think, it will worsen the existing image of the party as he is of no worth then just being a "muma's boy".

Actually, Congress itself has made his image bad with the most corrupt ministers in the party. So, in my opinion no one can save the party but politics is always dicey so may be the party can be saved.

You are absolutely right. Even i feel that Rahul no longer holds that charm which can be a game changer for congress. He has proved his incompetency in UP. I feel that he was forced to become a politician since i do not find that vigor and enthusiasm in him coming from his heart for the people. In one of the news channel he was shown to be reading a script from a paper, which eventually got misplaced and he fumbled in front of the crowed. This only shows the lack of preparedness and seriousness towards the people and party itself.

Absolutely! He precisely lacks the leadership qualities. Most of the people are of the view that he does not take any independent decision without the consent of his party, nor i believe he contributes to any ideas or strategies. Seriousness and commitment are another qualities which he lacks. If he improves on these, he may have chances of succeeding in the future, but unless he does this, i see no chance of him becoming a good political leader.
