Candolim Beach is situated at 14kms north of capital city Panaji and is a long extension coastline along with the Arabian Sea that starts from the Fort Aguada and finishes at the Chapora Beach. This beach has also been famous for being the native place of Abba Faria who was supposed to be a Goan freedom fighter and the father of Hypnotism. The beach is surrounded by the hillocks which attract the tourists to a greater extent the tourists find a lot of water sports to be enjoyed such as parasailing, water-skiing, wind surfing and others.

The environment is quite pleasant and also suitable for yoga and meditation. Many tourists love to relax, meditate and sit in silence near the shoreline of the beach. Some of the tourists also try out fishing on the beach. Candolim beach is suppose to have beautiful sunsets the view is enthralling and a feast to eyes, people like to capture numerous of pictures of sunsets as the view make them forget everything and takes them closer to the natural beauty of nature and the ocean.

There are many bars, restaurants and huts are available on the beachside which serve finest feni – a local beverage made from cashews and also seafood. Aguada Fort happens to be best attraction of Candolim beach it is believed that the fort was made by the Portuguese many years ago in 1912 for defence against the Dutch and the Maratha trespassers. Other points like the church, the lighthouse and the military post of Aguada Jail are also the attractive parts for the tourists and travellers. At the northern side of this fort there two other beaches the Calangute and the Candolim only.

These beaches along with the fort are the most visited pointed of Goa, the accommodation facilities are quite active and real good at the beachside since the beach is really an attractive point to visit thus there a number of hotels, resorts and guesthouses available which make sure that the tourist have a wonderful stay in Goa.
