Caste consciousness is supposed to be increasing in the Indian society, whenever we meet any person for the first time we never forget to ask about his/her Caste! Yes! This is the basic ideology of the most of the Indians, that we give so much importance to it. Not only the illiterate or less developed people but also the literate and established people somewhere have the internal feelings of building up relationships with the people of same castes. It is an immense pleasure to find a person of same caste in the work place, school, college and any other place. It automatically pushes us towards that person/people who belong to the same caste. This consciousness of having the same caste might sometimes take different lead when the individual feels alienated from the other people and become too much obsessed about having the similar caste groups. Public relations and socialization should never be caste based. We should be free from such consciousness in our mind. Everyone is a unique individual at first, caste is not a symbol of a person's identity. It is the thoughts and ideas of the person that creates the closeness with other people, caste is nowhere a criteria to judge or to create a bond with the person.
