Cricket killing various sports!

Do you think that Cricket is killing different other sports like TT, Hockey, Swimming, Chess and other indoor as well as outdoor games in india? I find it quite tough to say it time and over again that yes Cricket is doing its job right by killing these games in india. People are more and more inclined towards this sports rather than playing different other sports even basketball and football are remained untouched and are not getting proper place what these sports should get.

Yes, cricket is killing many other sports. Indian football national team qualified to FIFA world cup in 1950s. Indian national football team has been on its peak success in the year started from 1950-1960. After kapil dev's victory on world domination, cricket has become the number one sport in India whereas football team is still trying to get qualified in FIFA cup.

Yes no doubt in it, Cricket killed many sports in India. People occupy football and hockey grounds for playing cricket in many areas. Cricket is a kind of game which consumes much time and it's not like anyone can make a goal like in football. Cricket strategy is very different to other sports, cricket is a team game. Not like only a striker can shoot a goal or else defender should always defend goal. Cricket game does have a discipline in it, that's why people apt cricket as their game.

No one can deny from the fact that cricket is killing other sports in India. It has become the most famous sports in indian history. Sports are gaining importance these days but cricket is definitely killing the other sports especially hockey. People of India treat cricket as their fifth Veda or we can say fourth religion after Hinduism, Islam and Christianity. Being cricket not as our national game, it is celebrated as a festival.

Indeed yes! Over hype of cricket is the only reason why other sports are not getting much attention. For instance, hockey and football remain in darkness due to cricket grabbing most of the sports lovers attention. I think its time we move on to other sports and enjoy them as well.
