Dimapur is an important town of Nagaland and shares it borders with Kohima, Karbi-Anglong and Golaghat districts of Nagaland and Assam respectively. The Dhansiri River, which is a tributary of the mighty Brahmaputra flows by the city and this is one of the most beautiful cities of the state and this is obvious with presence of the Dhansiri river, dense forest and lush green hills. The town gives a view of the various cultures and traditions of the different tribes of the State and it is the commercial hub of Nagaland. Diezephe Craft Village is a major attraction of Dimapur district. The city is well connected with buses and rails and Rangapahar Reserve Forest is one of the most prominent tourist spots of the place. Moreover, Dimapur is the shopping hub of North-East.
