Our Indian helicopters work round the clock in various operations viz, rescue operations, combat operations, combat operations and transport. Most of the helicopters' fleet have passed their service dates, almost 26 percent. The combat helicopters are at much worse. The number of combat helicopters in India lie much below 46 percent the required number. Moreover the fleet includes old models such as chetak, and cheetah, although these are light weight and help a lot in rescue operations. The combat fleet include the HAL's Dhruv, Mi-26 and Mi-35.
