Dress-code for Women employees

It has been seen that today, some of the companies have set up dress code for the women employees. They have even set up what they should wear and even the colour of the bra. Many have opposed to it and this is very obvious. Definitely, there must be a decorum in work place and offices can decide upon the dress for the employees but not the colour of their undergarments. What are your views in this regard?

Dress-Code is definitely important for every employee as it helps in maintaining uniformity and discipline at workplace. It is not only for women employee but also be made compulsory for male employees. I completely support dress-code at workplace but deciding upon the colour of bra is not really acceptable. This should be opposed by the women workers completely and dress code should be decided on the basis of what is comfortable for majority of women.

Employers have the total right to tell the employees to dress in a particular way in order to maintain discipline and decorum in the office. Dress code can be defined in the contract as well or can be the word of mouth. The employees are bound to follow the dress code that the employer decides. The decision regarding the dress-code is binding on the part of the employee and should follow it. However, no employer has the right to decide on the color of undergarments.
