Dwarka is a major Hindu pilgrimage destination of India. It is situated on the western-most part of Gujarat, on the tip of the Saurashtra peninsula on the Arabian Sea. Dwarka is an ancient city of India which was once a Golden City. Dwaraka is associated with the life of Lord Krishna. There are many histories related to the city. The city was considered to have sub-merged under the Arabian Sea following the death of Lord Krishna and the downfall of the Yadava Dynasty. The place is famous for the Dwarkadheesh Temple or Jagat Temple, which was built more than 2000 years ago.
