Education; a Weapon for Women’s Empowerment

Education has a big role to play in each of our lives. Education broadens the horizon of thinking, it enables a person to think widely and to think high. Education makes no discrimination between a girl and boy, it works equally for both. And therefore education is equally important for a woman as it is for a man. It is only the education that gives us the power to think and act wisely, it fills us with the confidence to raise the voice, it enables us to judge where we should speak up and where we should be silent, it polishes the mind to take the right decisions in life, it teaches us that it is wrong to do violence and more heinous to tolerate the violence. In precise, it raises the confidence and courage in a person to bring the change and to be the change. Thus if the women of today literally want to change the societal perceptions, and to stop the discrimination and menace done towards them then they should put up the weapon of education in their hands and should use this weapon with their utmost courage and strength in order to empower themselves in the Indian society.
