This is amazing to know that a big group of farmers in the rural Maharashtra are making a fabulous use of technology in order to enhance their experience and to share ideas. We usually believe farmers to be illiterate and less aware but this group of farmers would astonish you when you would know that they are enough capable techno-savvy people. The main brain behind this whole idea of using technology in this way was Anil Bandawane who was once an engineer student but took up farming as his full time work. He once saw a group of farmers on Facebook named Baliraja and then he brought them all together on WhatsApp. These farmers are very aware about the new technology used in farming they share and discuss about new techniques of farming and enhance their knowledge.
