India has a strong foundation built with traditions and culture, science and technology(even in the past), struggle and hardships that the country and its natives have faced. All this makes India a country worth being proud of. I'm a proud Indian and will always be one :)

one of the reasons that make me proud of being indian

There is no doubt that India has such a glorious part that none other country worldwide has.

When we talk about India's past there are so many stories that we are proud of and can discuss, that the number makes the list almost endless. Starting with the Mughal empire, which gave us some great emperors like Babar, Akbar, Shahjahan etc and also this period presented us one of the finest wonders of the world i.e. Taj Mahal.

Then nobody is unfamiliar with bravery of Rani Lakshmi Bai, who contributed a great strength to fight back the British rule.

Adding further to the list are Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Gautam Buddha, Jawaharlal Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose, Rabindranath Tagore, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Sri Aurobindo, Swami Vivekananda, Shivaji, Mirza Ghalib, Ashoka The Great, Guru Nanak, Kalpana Chawla and many more.

this is highly impeccable statement that india has a glorious past. india flourished with rich cultures and traditions( nevertheless it is still with them). it had almost all resources which was exploited by the outsiders. india has also seen changes in the past and has moved towards development and allowing other cultures to come in.

India is a complete nation. You can enjoy almost all religious festival here. We've great culture which we have received from our predecessors.

But now I really feel bad that our country is being handled by corrupt people. I think we need to do something to make our country's present & future glorious one.

indias glory in the past is something which we can still cherish and feel proud. we were very rich in natural resources. our people were well educated and there was ayurveda prevailing in the nation. everything was going just and fair until the outsiders like muslims and english invaded india.

i very much agree with the topic. we have a very firm and glorious past of which we can be proud of. we should create such glorious present for our future so that they can praise their past and our present. the present is little going astray from the path of our good past, but it can be guided if right people take the responsibility.

Indian culture and traditional values are popular not only in the country but around the world. The mughal dynasty and the Rajputs of india are famous all over the world and people across the country do their research on the indian past and history. The glorious history of india compel them to do their research on the indian history.

The Constitution of India is called a vegetable bowl. It is considered to be one of the lengthiest constitutions in the world. Even though, I am not a lawyer or will ever be, I studied law for a while in a course. And, it is amazing that right from taking care of people of all religions, to protecting each individual everything is incorporated.
I am proud to be an Indian because no matter how many flaws we have, we are still a democratic republic. As long as we the people have freedom of speech and expression and the right to live our life as civilized society even if India cannot be a super power it is the best place to stay in the world!
