Google has launched its all new Chromebook in India, which is basically a netbook and offers more for storing data online and does not offer hard disk storage. A laptop is more of a notebook and a personal computer that users can carry while on the move and comes with all components that a desktop has. Despite the fact that the Chromebook has a similar look and feel as that of a laptop, it is not a laptop. It is solely designed to enhance the web browsing experience of users by provide a more secure interface, which is also quicker and simpler. Before discussing the difference, it is important to know a little about a laptop and a Chromebook.

Laptop is a personal computer that can be carried along and is equipped with all the important features that a desktop has. Moreover, laptops general have hard disk drive, which enables users to store data files and application with ease. Furthermore, CPUs are integrated in laptops to save power and produce less heat.

Chrome book, as discussed earlier it is specially customised to enhance the web experience of users. It is a netbook that run of Chrome operating system, which is designed by Google for web applications. As per Google, Chromebook is efficient and takes just 8 seconds to boot and resumes at once. With the Chromebook, users can easily access their stored data over the cloud. In addition, it comes with high-end security features to protect it from malicious threats, virus, malware and spyware as well as purges the need of installing anti-virus. Furthermore, with e built-in Wi-Fi and 3G, users can as well connect to the web instantly.

Difference between Google Chromebook and Laptop
One of the basic difference between a Chromebook and a laptop is that, a laptop is a proper computer, which can withstand heavy applications, while the Chromebook is ideal for web browsing. A laptop comes with a more powerful processor than a Chromebook, which makes use of Intel® AtomTM Dual-Core Processor and can perform multitasking in a smoother way. Chromebooks runs on Chrome OS, whereas, different operating systems can be installed in a Laptop. An added advantage of Chromebook provides the facility to save data files and applications and allows cloud storage, which eliminates the timely backup which is otherwise required. Chromebook does not allow playing high-end games like a regular laptop. To conclude, both Chromebook and laptop comes with their own share of advantages and disadvantages. However, according to me, a laptop is better than a Chromebook as multitasking along with web browsing is possible, whereas in case of a Chromebook, only web browsing is possible. Which according to you is a better choice, laptop or a chromebook?
