Government Job is better then private Job

In the time of lay offs and pink slip scenario now people again thinking that public sector is much better then these glitzy big corporates in terms of job security may be those fat pay packets are not there but secure future is there....... so what do our Present generation thinks about it ???

are Government jobs better than Private Jobs or jobs in Private Sector ? what do you thin India ?

Indian Let's Debate on this so please do give your views on this ........
 
I feel as long as we have the ability to do the work and have the Knowledge we should not worry about Job security i still prefer the corporate sector as i cant see any chalenging work in the public sector jobs its like easy to earn jobs which i personally dont like.

Government provided employment is a way to spend public money/ taxpayer money, hopefully to provide the public with certain services that the private sector cannot provide (foreign and domestic security, health and education, infrastructure etc.)

As for everything else (like banking and industry), all that the government needs to do is set up pro-per regulations and then get out of the way, not do the actual jopbs that provate sector can do in a more efficient manner.

Why the government should step beyond these basic things and start providing jobs for everything else is beyond me, since that represents a gross misappropriation of public funds. Government jobs, due to their very nature of being under political spotlights, end up as less efficient.

As for job security, why should a government servant's job be secure, at the expense of public funds?
 
Goverment job is better than private sector?

When the recession filled the people with fear of job losing, then many of the people tried to run towards Government jobs. But personally the govt. jobs are not to good and royal as they were earlier. Private jobs give people more exposure and keep them updated, while with government job after a while becomes very mundane and the growth factors are negligible. In private sector if a person is capable, he or she will surely get good growth and can even switch to better opportunities. Now the government jobs even do not offer the regular benefits, for which people were earlier very keen to go forward. I personally always vote for private sector job as the zeal to perform and groom yourself never dies out.
 
for the lazy men and women i would say go for the government job as there is not much work to do :p and its all chalta hai..if u work properly or not. you will have job security and good pension plans. but private sector does not offer you job security. if you are really talented and want to reach heights, go for private ones.
 
well it all depends on how much you want to earn. if you want to make good money, private job is the best one for you. but then government job offers you job security plus pension scheme which is absent in private jobs. but there is no easy promotion seen in government jobs. so it all depends on the criteria which we choose for.
 
in my view its purely based on satisfaction of an individual. government job offers the job security which you cannot get elsewhere. where as private jobs are not so.. if there are any economic crashes in markets, one may have to lose job if performance is not optimal. so private job is more of performance based unlike gov job which does not consider any performance of any individual.
 
Selecting between the government jobs and the private jobs are bit difficult because both have their own pros and cons. They may equally invariably fall widely in to the similar class of career. Government jobs are more relaxing and there are many benefits of this job as you can get pensions after retirement but that s not a guarantee in the private jobs. Choosing a job in any of these sectors is completely an individual’s choice. Between you can get much more exposure and many things to learn in private jobs. So comparing any of them is simply not an easy task.
 
both the genres of jobs have their own prospects and so it is left for the person to decide which is best for him or her. government job offers job security and there is not much work load in it. whereas private jobs offer good attractive packages but there is no job security in it.
 
I do not think that government jobs are better than private jobs. In government jobs you do not get chance to improve yourself and chances of promotions are also less. You cannot learn many things as you can do in private jobs. Private jobs gives you wide area to improve your skills and develop yourself, it provide you environment to grow yourself completely and as much as you can. The remuneration is also good in private jobs!
