Halebid and Belur are well know heritage destination of Karnataka and are situated in the Hassan District. Halebid and Belur are the twin cities are completed by Hampi and Hassan towns along with the Hoysala temples. The twin cities have a rich historical past as it was ruled by the Hoysala Empire. The twin cities of Halebid and Belur are also known as Temple town as it houses several temples. Some of the major tourists attraction of the town include Hoysaleswara Temple, Chennakesava Temple, Kedareshwara Temple, Shantaleswara Temple, Parswanathaswamy, Adinathaswamy, Shanthinathaswamy and Yagachi Dam.
