Good manners and etiquette are rules of correct and polite behavior in society. The conventional rules of social behavior. Modes of light. Where are you can also include customs which mean a way of Behaving or a belief which has been established for a long time - generally accepted and long established way of Behaving or doing things.

Good manners work on three levels : physical ,mental and emotional level. Physical means you're appearance and how you project yourself. Mental means your common sense - when to say or do a thing and what to say or do. And emotional, which is perhaps the most important ingredient of all the three, means how to say or do a thing. As all three together make a well-bred person, the balance in all the three ingredients is imperative.

BODY IMAGE

everyone has an image, but is yours right for you? One dictionary definition of the word image is' a mental picture'; another 'the personality presented to the public by a person'. What that means is that the way you look, How You project yourself and how others perceive you. If someone meets you for the first time, they will have form their impression of you within the first five seconds! Therefore personal grooming is vitally important so that the impression you make is one you like and feel comfortable with.

Many teenaged boys and girls however develop negative body image perhaps as the result of what they hear from people in their family when they are growing up. You can grow up feeling fat or too thin or unattractive just because of what you look when you were little or because family members like to tease you. And the way you come to see yourself as a result can stick with you, no matter what you do up to look like.

Having a negative body image can affect your life in a lot of different ways. Your confidence and self-esteem may suffer. You may feel insecure around your friends. Your self- consciousness may keep you from doing things and enjoying yourself. You may even end up believing that you are less deserving of love or happiness than other people.

BE POSITIVE

First you need to change your mind about your body. You need to be able to feel positive about the way you look right now, even if you think you are far from perfect. You can start with what you like. Get a great haircut or dress in a flattering new way or stop biting nails. These can be easy ways to make changes that will accentuate the positive in your mind.

If you are worried that you are too thin, you may like eating healthy foods. If too fat can take walking to school / College to feel better when you reach there. If you change your attitude about your body and think how you can feel better about yourself in small ways everyday, you will improve your body image almost immediately.

Remember that a lot of people obsess about appearance and put other people down because they are insecure about their own looks. So the comments they make may have more to do with themselves than you or whoever they are talking about. So don't bother much about other people's comments.

Here are some tips for a perfect personal grooming:

  1. Brushing teeth twice daily - morning and night.

ALWAYS BE WELL DRESSED

We all dress- maybe differently - for various occasions : going to school/ college, atending a wedding, a party , a dance, a picnic, or going for shopping, staying home, appearing in an interview. Then our dress changes with the seasons.

As we grow, our taste changes and so does our choice of clothes. Fashions come and go and so do our dresses. Sometimes matching colors are in fashion. The other day contrast. One day it is stripes and then checks. Till the other day there were bell bottoms and now skin fit. Experts say fashion changes every 25 years - most of time it takes a u-turn.

But whatever maybe, dress is one thing that makes a person apart. The way you choose your dress, the way you wear it and the way you maintain it - every step speaks volumes about your total personality. And remember, whatever we wear from head to toe forms the part of our dress.

Dress is such an integral part of life that the whole day we are in some or the other dress throughout our life. It is such an intimate friend that right from the day we come into this world till our last breath, it is always there with us. Let us therefore be kind and careful, courteous and generous with our clothes.

While choosing a right dress for you, consider the following :

  1. Your body shape.
  2. Your skin tone/ complexion.
  3. Your taste.
  4. Your surroundings/ Social Circle.
  5. Existing fashion and style.
  6. Whether it' comfortable.
  7. Quality
  8. Your budget.
  9. Maintenance-cost. ( some dresses are to be dry cleaned only)
  10. Buy a dress only after trial.
Now what is equally important is what to wear when. If you are studying in school or college that has a code uniform, you don't have any choice as you have to go in the uniform only. Even if the school/ college you are going to doesn't have a code of uniform, be careful in your choice. Don't wear too Dandy or too expensive clothes. Avoid goddy colors. After all you are not going to a fashion- joint.

For parties and weddings, however, you could take some Liberty. But always keep in mind the kind of function and the type of crowd there. It is important, of course, what you wear. But what is more important is how you wear.

Here are some tips :
  1. Your dress should be suitably stitched to your measurements.
  2. It should be well cleaned and well ironed.
  3. Footwears must be clean and well polished.
  4. You should feel comfortable in your dress.
