How important and relevant is inclusion of marital rape in the government ordinance?

The new ordinance on sexual assault that has been signed by the President of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee has changed the punishment for the convicts with lot of other changes. However, the aspect of marital rapes and punishment related to it has not been included in this ordinance. What do you think? How important and relevant is inclusion of marital rape in this new government ordinance on sexual assault?
 
I agree that the new sexual assault ordinance is a remarkable initiative by the Government to curb sexual crimes that are increasing day by day. Along with these, even marital rapes are increasing in our nation but there are no such laws to curb marital rapes. It is important and relevant to include marital rapes as these are equally crave and hideous crime like other sexual assault. Government should reconsider the ordinance and include marital rapes in it as well. What do you think?
 
Marital rapes are equally grave like others and in my opinion, it is immensely important and relevant to include marital rapes in the new ordinance. Marital rapes are not reported as women are scared of being discarded from the society. However, inclusion of marital rape will help women to report such crimes against them and will help in providing them justice.
 
Ideally they should be included.
But maybe it is a case of too soon; people will have to be educated what marital rape is before it is implemented.
