How Important is it for an Indian woman to Get-Married and Stay-Married?

Marriage is and important element in the Indian society and is considered as a sacred thing. The societal norms makes it important for a women to get married as well as stay married. Getting married is important for Indian women because it provides life time security and staying married is equally important because Indian society is still conservative and look down upon a women who got divorced or is abandoned by her husband. In my view this should not be the reason for getting married and staying married. One should marry only when she finds her perfect life partner and then staying married becomes possible. It doe not make any sense for a women to stay married for the sake of the society even if her husband victimize her with domestic violence.

Every Indian Women dreams of getting married and spending a blissful married life and every parents of girls wants their daughters to get married and stay married and this is basically because they yearn for a secured life for their daughter. This makes it extremely important for an Indian Women to get married and stay married. The security that a marriage offers makes it more important for any Indian girl to get married and the fear of society and people makes it important for them to remain married despite of whatever they might go through after marriage.
