How to Connect Laptop to Mobile for Internet Connection

Its simple and easy to connect a laptop to mobile but for accessing internet from your mobile via laptop, you need to install a PC Suite which comes along the mobile phone. After you have installed the software you can either connect the phone using the data cord or just enable Bluetooth. Switch on the internet in your mobile and start accessing internet from your laptop! Hope that helps!

Sounds interesting! Mobiles can come handy and could be used instead of data cards incase data cards are not available or while traveling. But are there any other options to connect laptop to mobile apart from the cable/bluetooth? I've heard InfraRed connection can also help in connecting mobile and laptop. And which connection would be faster?
