How to trade in indian stock market from home?

I would like to trade shares in indian stock markets but don't have enough information to start going. What is the minimum amount that should be invested to trade online(directly). I am a businessman. So I would like to know what all options I have in stock trading? Any kind of help is welcome.
 
As far as trading shares from home is concerned, there is a wealth of information on the internet that will show you how to do just that. It sounds to me like you would benefit from spending a bit more time on researching the stock market, so that you can get a better idea of where you could fit in.

go for online trading account .. but let me tell you that don't go for sharekhan .. they charge too high and don't have that nice software ... Go for Indiabulls.. for software and as far as brokerage is concerned you can do the inquiry in your own friend circle.....
