India has lost one of his jewels, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalaam he was born on October 15, year 1931 in a Tamil Muslim Family in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu. He studied physics and aerospace engineering and spent the next four decades as a scientist and science administrator, at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and was very much involved in India's civilian space program and military missile development efforts. He eventually came to be known as the Missile Man of India for his work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology. Mr.Kalaam had also played a pivotal organizational, technical and political role in India's Pokhran-II nuclear tests in 1998, the first since the original nuclear test by India in 1974.

Abdul Kalaam was elected President of India in 2002 with the support of both the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and the opposition Indian National Congress. After serving a term of five years, he returned to his civilian life of education, writing, and public service. And since then he had been devoting his time to writing and inspiring the youth of the country. He had received several prestigious awards, including the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour. He was a great soul and a person, he completely believed in the power of Youth and was assured that by the year 2020 India would be a fully developed country.

He envisaged a picture of a developed, improved and firm nation for his motherland. During his post presidential period he most of the times was engrossed in teaching and giving lectures at the engineering colleges and moreover to the young individuals of the country. He had always believed the youth of the country is dynamic and possesses the power to bring drastic changes but what is more important to educate them. He was a firm believer of knowledge and even followed the mantra of knowledge for the whole of his life. It is really a big loss of India to lose such a great thinker, philosopher, scientist, inspiration and a teacher.
