India has embraced westernization to a great extent and one of the implications for this is that we have started ignoring the Indian outfits. Youth of India like wearing only western outfits and slowly this trend is passing on to the next generation. If this continues, India would have people wearing the traditional outfits only during the festive seasons. Is the tradition and culture left out only to the rural areas of India? What do you think the Proud Indian youth should do to promote the use of Indian outfits in the present as well as in the future?

Indian Outfits- Do We Like Wearing Them?

It is true that Indian are embracing western culture and it can also be seen that the western countries are embracing the Indian culture. However, though we Indians wear western outfits but I do agree that today's youth only like wearing western outfits. Youths still prefer wearing Indian outfits like saree, salwar suit, kurtas etc. but due to busy life and convenience of wearing western outfits they have started preferring it more.
People today are getting more inclined to the western culture and it is true that western outfits are being more preferred today not only by youths but by all Indians in general. The embracing of western culture by the present generation is the result of modernization and globalization. However, Indian culture is still prevalent and is followed by people and in my view wearing western outfit does not mean that the Indian culture is lost. It is the value, beliefs and tradition the is offered by the Indian culture matters and not the dress.
I definitely love wearing Indian outfit because in my view an India women looks most beautiful in Indian dress. Although, today's youth prefer wearing western outfit as it is less time consuming. But it is also seen that today even young boys and girls wear kurtas which is very much Indian outfit. So I don't really think that today's youth do not like wearing Indian outfits.

Being an Indian by heart and soul I love wearing Indian outfits but due to busy life it becomes difficult to maintain Indian outfits but I wear Indian outfit as and when possible. However, I have seen people today, especially the youth do not like wearing Indian outfit much as it is time consuming. But i don't think Indian people do not like wearing Indian outfits.
