Indian youth is found to be greatly influenced and overwhelmed with the 'western culture' in the present time. They not only found to observe it well but they tend to follow and firmly believe in the same. American Sitcoms have bedazzled the Indian youth who now feel that the American sitcoms are indeed much better than the Indian sitcoms in many a ways. A major section of the Indian youth is fascinated by American entertainment shows whom they find to cater a good and sensible stuff to the audience at least the stuff that is much better than the melodrama of 'saas-bahu' of the Indian shows. They feel that the Indian sitcoms revolves around the dramatic situations of families and overly dosed with the emotional dramatizations with thrilling addition of bewitching characters. The Indian youth is becoming really fond of watching these American shows as they feel that; those shows are literally and genuinely funny and reflect modernity. They show the reality and something which is quite well apprehended, even if there are family shows they show a true ethical family and the reality of it and not something unusual where the 'Bahu/ladies' of the home wakes up with dozen of make-up at the early morning of the day.
