Women are no less than anyone else around the world. They have the power, possessions and everything needed to survive a strong life. A social organization named “Working Women’s Forum (WWF)” was found by Dr. Jaya Arunachalam and she is the President of this organization which was initiated in 1978 to develop the total human resource potential of poorest working women. Poor women upliftment work is done under such forums.

This must be a very good forum to start. I am happy to see that people have now started realizing the importance of a woman and have begin respecting them. These types of initiative are worth saluting as they are doing something good for the women who are unable to stand and dieing each day due to poverty. I believe that government, people and NGO's should take more initiative to increase the power of women.

Today's women is not less than any o men and she has taken a lot of initiative to improve her personality. She has become more sensible, mature and understanding in comparison to men. Women have started going to schools and learning new things, she has started doing jobs to survive and feed her family. She has now stood against the domestic violence and all the other stuffs.

This is a very good initiative by the women themselves because they know it better as to in which position is a Indian woman in. Working women have better chances of bringing in the positive changes in the women society because they are empowered and more learned to know the right things and to do the right things.

@greatindia: yes, exactly! She has become more independent in each way nowadays. She has now realized her real value and worth. She is keen to take initiative in all the field that lure her. she has become a self reliable and know what her value is. Today she is ready to take initiative in all ways and fight for her self esteem.

The status of women in India have changed remarkably. Women today are allowed to go out and earn their own bread and butter, make their own identity in the society. They are not kept within the four walls of the house. This has helped build their self-confidence and live an independent life in the society. Women of India are now at par with men and the society has accepted the fact. They have taken several initiatives and helped the nation to progress.
