Instruments Research and Development Establishment (IRDE), which under the wing of DRDO has developed Integrated Multi Function Sight (IMFS) which can be used for surveillance. The instrument has a Thermal Imager (For Night vision), a Laser Range Finder (which can computer coordinates of the target), Color Charge-Coupled Device Camera (capable of taking digital images) and Global Positioning System (GPS) and a Digital Magnetic Compass.
