Cancer is the hysterical growth of atypical cells in the body. Cancerous cells are also known as malignant cells. Cancer grows out of the normal cells. Normal cells multiply when the body needs them, and die when the body doesn't need them. Cancer emerges to crop up when the growth of cells in the body is beyond control and cells split excessively fast. It can also occur when cells disregards to die. There are various types of cancer which can grow in more or less any organ or tissue, for instance the lung, colon, breast, skin, bones, or nerve tissue.

Now-a-days over 80% cancer is curable if detected at an early stage; however, some of its kinds can cost lives. Cancer, if successfully treated does not reappear subsequently for a period of five years and the probability of it emerging are exceedingly exceptional. A patient, who has been detected cancer, should get himself checked up half-yearly in every circumstance.

There are three deciding factors that determine whether a cancer is curable or not.
1. Type of cancer that a patient has
2. The stage of cancer
3. How well does the patient at last respond to the sort of treatment that is decided for the patient.
It is said that a vaccine can cure cancer, however it is not true. It can only be helpful to fight against a disease caused by germ and since cancer is not caused by a germ, vaccine is not helpful. Cancer is not completely curable but by undergoing the necessary treatment, it can be prevented from affecting the patient again for a period of at least five years provided it has been detected at an early stage.
