Is Patriotism only meant for the Country Guards

Patriotism is the feeling of compassion and respect for the motherland, this is the affectionate feeling one feels and represents for the land/country one lives in. The person who feels much of regard and affection for his/her nation is fundamentally considered to be a Patriot. The one who treats his country as a Mother, who can sacrifice the life for the welfare and to protect the nation from the enemies and also the one who can literally feel the pain when some harm is caused to the motherland is truly a Patriot in a true sense. And such feelings comprised of the virtues of sacrifice, courage, and affection for one’s country are what we understand by Patriotism. But here we are bound to think over that, should patriotism be confined only to a specific group of people or is patriotism only meant for the people who are day and night devoted in the service of guarding the motherland? Patriotism is actually a very broad notion that is not limited to only a few people but it should be manifested in the heart of each and every person who is a part/member of the country. The people who are guarding our motherland each day and moment are undoubtedly filled with utmost compassion and regards for the motherland in fact we cannot even dare to point them out or do any kind of comparison with others but we also should not be thinking that patriotism is only meant for those people. We all are Indians and we all should equally feel affection and regard for our motherland. We all should be very much thankful to our country for giving us a treasure of numerous of good things in life, we are a part of a nation that has been naturally blessed, wealthiest and enormous. Each one of us should have the sense of Duty and Responsibility towards our motherland, and moreover we all should feel ourselves being accountable to serve and guard our country with our utmost skills, potential, intelligence, caliber and hard-work. Patriotism is a beautiful feeling we all should be having in our hearts, it simply means to Love our country and to Serve the country with zeal, passion and compassion!
