Is the new age Patriotism different from the one in Pre-independence era?

The patriots during the pre-independence era were more sensitive and responsible towards the country. They played a great role in bringing forth the changes to achieve independence from the British rule. While in the present we suffer from domestic corruption and terrorism, do you think we are falling short of patriots who can really do something for our country?

Patriotism still prevails in India but due to the busy schedule of modern life, people fail to show their love for the nation. However, we cannot say that we are falling short of patriots because many youth prefers to join the Indian armed forces, who vows to save the nation from all the troubles. This proves that the feeling of Patriotism and the will to do something for the nation still prevails. I am sure, patriotism will be shown by the people when the need will come up.
