There has emerged a new trend of reality shows on the Indian television that is completely catching and trapping people’s attention and interests. Not only a single person has remained untouched of the fascination of such reality shows. Kids, families, mothers, parents, elders and particularly the youth seem to be intrinsically involved in such reality shows. Youth are getting overwhelmed by the stuff that is projected through such reality shows, every spare time is passed by gossiping about the characters and actors doing those shows. Youth is just so much fascinated by the popularity of such shows that they have also, begun dreaming of becoming a celebrity and entering into such shows. Perhaps, the dazzling limelight has misled them to believe upon the contrived things that which are preconceived, pre-scripted and pre-planned. The youth is misunderstanding the real purpose of those reality shows; that is just to entertain the audiences and to raise the TRP of the shows. And here, the youth is totally being fooled by the glamorized popularity of the shows as well as the celebrities. The youth feels that entering into such a show would be a short cut to success and a only way to become famous in a quick hit. They aspire to become a part of such shows to gain fame, success and money in life. There was a time when the youth used to aspire to become doctors, engineers, leaders but a nowadays such reality shows have deceived the visions of the youth so drastically that they want to be famous at any cost by hook or crook. They think such shows can bring them into the limelight instantly.
