Jog falls is located in the Shimoga District of Karnataka and is the highest waterfall in India. The waterfall originates in the Sharavathi River and falls from a height of 253 metres. The falls is also known as Gerusoppe Falls, Gersoppa Falls and Jogada Gundi. It is a world famous waterfront destination of India and a major tourist attraction. The rareness of Jog Falls lies in the fact that the water does not flow down in a layers and this makes the fall even more beautiful and amazing.
