Kochi, earlier known as Cochin is a major waterfront destination of Kerala. It is located along the Arabian Sea, on the south-west coast of India. Urbanization has touched the lands of Kochi, making it the second largest city of Kerala. Kochi is one of the seven taluks of Ernakulam district in the state of Kerala. The land is famous for backwaters, which surrounds the city from all the three sides and Arabian sea on the west, making it a popular waterfront destination. Apart from being a beach destination, Kochi is famous for spices. The city offers a great vacation amidst the beauty of nature.
