Kotagiri is an old hill station situated in the state of Tamil Nadu. Kotagiri is a popular destination among the adventure enthusiasts as it offers scores of trekking opportunities. The hill station is situated at an altitude of 1793 metres above sea level and offers a majestic view of the green hills and this greenery attracts a lot of tourists from all over. This small hill station in the Nilgiri Hills was the first one to be discovered by the British and was originally a coffee plantation area.
