Kumbhalmer is a Mewar fortress in the district of Rajsamand of Rajasthan. This is prominent heritage destination of India with rich historical background. The fortress was constructed during the 15th century by the then ruler at a height of 3,500 feet above sea level. The The fort has more than 360 temples, including 300 ancient Jain ones and the remaining are Hindu temples. The wall of the fortress is the 3rd longest wall in the World and this makes it a truly heritage destination.The place also features some Royal Places and historical monuments. Lake Rajsamand is a major tourist attraction of the fortress.
