Lachen is a less known hill station of the North-Eastern state of India, Sikkim. The hill station lies on the Indo-Tibetan Border and is inhabited by Bhutia tribes and Tibetans. The place is known for its natural beauty as it is enclosed by the deep gorges of Lachen Chu. Lachen is one of the major bases of trekking in the North Sikkim region. The place has a very less population and this makes the hill station very calm and silent.
