It is being planned that about 9,000 libraries across India would be digitally linked at an estimated cost of 1,000 crore rupees. The project is expected to be completed in 3 years after the approval from Planning Commission. The project is being taken up by National Library Mission which also plans to refurbish the infrastructure of Libraries across India. So i guess now people can hope of accessing the information better and in a smoother way.
