There is a lot of development with economic growth in India but it is not at all balanced. There are a few who are mega-rich and many live in very difficult conditions. The living standard of about 60 to 70% of the population is not satisfactory because they belong to the economically weaker section. This is the result of poor or non-existent planning, and the policies to keep majority of the people deprived of the best facilities. Planning can be done and the best facilities can be provided only when there is a clear vision with a comprehensive balanced growth program.

Complete transformation from deprivation to affluence for all is possible by a gigantic change program in India to raise the living standard by 100 times of all the Indians (mainly about 80% of the population having lower 90% incomes). Please see the goals, the ways to achieve the goals and time frames below. This comprehensive balanced program will transform India into a truly developed nation with the result that the benefits of development will be distributed to all the population in a balanced manner.

  2. Air-conditioned housing for all 100% of the population with 24 hours electricity, water and gas connection – 10 years
  3. 10 times increase in buying power of the lowest 80% income holders – 10 years
  4. Average age increase by 20 years of all the population, and average height increase by 8 cms of the shortest 90% of the population – 15 years
  5. 100 Olympic Gold medals, world top 50 tennis, badminton, table tennis players, no.1 hockey, football, athletics, volleyball, swimming teams – 15 years
  6. 10 Nobel prizes – 15 years
  7. Automatic massive flood/drought control system (canal/reservoir/pumping network) and weather (fog/rain/storm/humidity) control system – 10 years
  8. Public transport system 100 times better and extensive road network, traffic control rules – 5 years
  9. Social security, pension, medical insurance for all, free health check by doctor home visit for above 55 (not even in Europe) – 2 years
  10. Internal/external security, army, navy, air-force proportional to population and size of India, 10 to 50 times more – 2 years
  11. Education reforms, children 3-6 year arts, languages (regional, foreign), sports, 100% literacy, professional education, Indian/foreign languages, all education of very high standard and free – 3 years
  12. Tax reforms, to use the citizens’ money for the benefit of all the citizens themselves, not for the benefit of super rich countries – 3 years
  13. Saturdays, Sundays public meetings of elected representatives with public all over India, monitoring, suggestions, directions by citizens, immediate action, so that the citizens become more participants and less spectators – 3 months

  18. 100 times better solution for reservation policy leading to abolition of reservation – 2 years
  19. Strict control of noise, industrial, emission, other pollution, 100 times reduction in pollution – 5 years
  20. Research centres for energy, information and communication technology, health and pharmaceutical, aeronautics, Transport, bio-technology, defence, intelligent systems, heavy machines, semiconductor, security – 3 years

First of all start with your own home and known to you. I live in Delhi India, I belongs to rural area. A big gap between rural and urban people. First of all we have to do something in mass for balancing.

The standard of living in India is more of a middle class in comparison to higher and poorer.. either richer are more richer or poorer are becoming more poorer.. middle class people are the higest in majority..
 
Majority of the people live below the poverty line.. India has been a developing country .. it will take time to be a developed nation.. Inidan povery line is still high and standard of living of 60% of Indian people is middle class and below poverty line..
 
That is true that much of changes are there in Indian living standards. This is because in many houses, both the partners are working or every member of the family is working and hence there living style has undergone a complete transformation. Secondly many people have undergone this change because of education and frequent visits to the western countries. In spite of all this, there are some sectors of India where there has been no developments and these areas are basically the rural areas or the areas where educations has not yet stepped firmly. Looking all this there is a large that we all need to fulfill to help India rise in standard of living.
