Malda is a historical city situated in the state of West Bengal. Malda is situated at the confluence of the Mahananda and Kalindri rivers and was known for the major river port of the Hindu capital of Pandua. The city is famous for Fajli mangoes as well as cotton and silk industries, Rice, jute, legumes, and oilseeds. The place is clad by Mulberry plantations and mango orchards. Some of the major sightseeing destinations of the place include Dakhil Darwaja, Bara Sona Mosque, Lattan Mosque, Rasul Mosque, Gomti Gate, Firoz Minar, Adina Masjid etc.
